My approach has been to try and automate all the steps/ do batch processing but I have been having a hard time adapting what I have written to work based on instructions found online. Once the threshold is applied to the MIP, I convert it to binary and do particle analysis and save the results (summary table, results, image overlay. In my case 98% is what I am trying to achieve, eg thresholding all but the top 2% of the data. Currently, in FIJI if you go to image>adjust>threshold you can move the sliders such that a certain percentage of the image is thresholded and it will display that value for you in the open window. By relative value I mean that I would like to set the threshold so that the same % of the intensity histogram is included. This thresholding is one step causing a problem. Auto Uses the currently selected thresholding method to automatically set the threshold levels based on an analysis of the histogram of the current image or selection. ![]() Specifically, I'd like to open, smooth the image, do a Max intensity Z projection, then threshold the images to the same relative value. The problem is: when you run Image > Adjust > Threshold, the first thing that gets executed is an automatic threshold, and that is what gets recorded. I have a series of images all in the same folder and want to apply the same operations to them all and save the resultant excel files and images in an output folder. ![]() I know this has been posted elsewhere and that this is no means a difficult problem but I'm very new to writing macros in FIJI and am having a hard time even understanding the solutions described in various online resources. ![]()

![]() ![]() When I drive in unfamiliar areas, I use my GPS, and around town, there are plenty of landmarks. Imagine flying all that way across the ocean and keeping your bearings. This was a fabric covered, single seat, high-wing monoplane named the Spirit of St. To accomplish the trans-Atlantic feat, he flew a Ryan NYP, which he helped design (a repetitive theme). Louisįor his accomplishment, Lindbergh won the $25,000 Orteig Prize, which had gone unclaimed since its initial 1919 offering and claimed the lives of several pilots with its allure. Not only did he do the seemingly impossible, but he united the continents, and life was never to be the same. Even with the absence of paparazzi, 24-hr news and the internet, the media zoo descended on the Lindberghs and would later go into a frenzy with the kidnapping and murder of the Lindbergh baby, but for now, Charles Lindbergh was the celebrative man-of-the-hour. In 1927, Charles Lindbergh left Roosevelt Field in Long Island, NY and landed at Le Bourget Field in Paris, France to become an international sensation, a true celebrity. ![]() When Lindbergh flew his famed non-stop, solo Atlantic crossing, Longines timed the event total time was 33 hours and 30 minutes. Crop dusting, aerial surveying and corporate aviation all came into being in the mid-1920s. Veterans became barnstormers, daredevil stunt pilots who toured the country, providing the first airshows and offering the public a ride. 25-year old Lindbergh served as a US Mail Pilot, running the route between St. Planes delivered the mail via Airmail, and the US Postal Service employed a bevy of pilots. Famed Lindbergh, the media’s darling, and Longines would partner to design a navigational watch, the Hour Angle Watch.ĭuring this time between the wars, flying was no longer news it was commonplace. When aviation emerged from its pioneering development (led by pilots Alberto Santos-Dumont and Louis Blériot) into its Golden Age between the two World Wars, flying became a household topic and Longines was aviation’s associated partner primarily due to one man: Charles Lindbergh. So what comes to mind when you hear Longines? Aviation? If so, some might think you need to get your head examined, but there was a time when Longines was the ready answer. Common pairings, however, emerge when they are a part of the cultural lingo: hear Volkswagen/think Beetle hear Babe Ruth/think home run hear Caesar/think Rome – you get the idea. For example, when I hear the word ocean, I think of the Caribbean. Wells’ time travel and an active imagination, maybe even some psychotherapy. When psychologists use a word association test, they ask you to name the first word that comes to mind. Recreating the ubiquitous association between Longines and aviation that existed at the close of the 1920s requires a dash of H.G. ![]() ![]() Recipients can either be a string or a list. Before anyone is like, “Shattered Medallion tho”, I will add that they totally had some clunkers, but overall - it seemed like they were conscious that the players were getting older with the games the storylines got a little darker and the characters more fleshed out, with more emphasis on sleuthing and figuring out what was going on with and between the suspects, instead of just poking around for hidden treasure. Starting with Shadow at the Water’s Edge, though, the games started getting really good. I mean, admittedly that’s the classic Nancy Drew plot, but I overall prefer sleuthing, dialogue, and drama between the suspects, and that’s not really common in those earlier games. I also like but don’t love most of the classic games, either - my big beef with them is that so many of their plots hinge on Nancy randomly deciding to solve a 200-year-old mystery which always just happens to coincide with random acts of vandalism occurring in the present day. They shuffled through a couple of different designers, which had some…not great results (like, not only are the Hardy Boys the Hardy Boys, they also had to look like that in Creature of Kapu Cave?) The games also got increasingly chore-heavy and puzzle-heavy - while I like Legend of the Crystal Skull, you have to admit that the game is basically one long scavenger hunt for glass eyeballs. As engineers, scientists and public health professionals, we are studying the health effects of drinking water and concerned that not enough attention is being paid to what high water age can mean for public health. The water age, or time water spends in pipes from treatment to consumption, increases. Consequently, shrinking cities can have drinking water sit in their old and corroded distribution system pipes longer than desired. Oversized water treatment and distribution systems are common in shrinking cities that experience less water demand than they did decades ago. Water systems are typically designed for growth, not shrinkage. So the infrastructure, which is largely underground, out of sight and out of mind, deteriorates largely outside of the public eye.
